Okay so I thought it beneficial to introduce everyone to the "dip night" idea.
Alas I am not the inventor of dip night but I did benefit from it on Friday Night. Jessi and I implemented our version last night. A family from our church was telling me that they enjoy a dip night about once a week. She makes dips (everything from Crab Dip to Spinach Artichoke dip to mexican layered dip) and her family sits around with crackers and/or chips and enjoys the dips. What a fun way to have a meal! Jess and I were talking about the idea and started getting hungry so we made a trip to the grocery store to get the makings of some dips. We made sausage dip and I also picked up some frozen spinach artichoke dip. We decided that next we will try the spinach artichoke dip. (The frozen kind doesn't compare!) It was quick and the thing about the idea that I really like is being able to try out dip recipes in the comfort of your home.... not making them to take somewhere and realizing it isn't that good of a recipe!
So it is not my idea but a way to learn from another amazing woman in our church! One of my thoughts was that it is a great way to get others in the kitchen and also a nice way to leisurely eat. It would be so great for a family game night! I am needing to get more dip recipes though. Which if you know me very well you will know or soon find out that I LOVE new recipes! Next is a dip with Feta Cheese.

YUMMY! Fetta...my favorite! :) I have a new bean dip that someone sent me in a recipe tree Terrie M. got me into! Soon, one family night, we will do games and dips! (you are welcome to join us!) Tammy is a VERY smart lady! I love learning from her and others! I love you...have a great day!
Cool! Thanks so much for clarifying what "dip night" is! That sounds like a lot of fun! I'll have to try that sometime! Still feel like french onion dip....ooh and now SALSA too! I'm making myself hungry again and it's past dinner time! I could definitely see making a meal out of dips! Easy and fun! I'm sure the boys would really go for that too! Great idea, whose-ever (is that a word?) it was originally! Thanks for sharing!
WHOMEVER Megan...and I told you in my comment Tammy! :)
Not if the subject of the sentence is "idea" Lisa Mae! :p ("Mr. Morton is the subject of the sentence, and what the predicate says, he does.") You wouldn't say "whom's idea"! And I DID read that Tammy gave KP the idea...but do you know for SURE that it was Tammy's ORIGINAL idea?! Hmmm? :p
I for one LOVE the dip night idea!!!
Megan and Lisa are crackin me up on here... :)
Y'all are absolute nuts.
Sounds like Megan is a grammar queen...I could use some of those nifty little sayings. Care to pass them on?
Love, Tammy - the Dip Night Queen
LoL The saying is from "Schoolhouse Rock". I remember watching it at school as a child. A good idea if they're still in production for homeschool for when the boys get older! :-)
Had to find out if it was still in production and found that you can order the 30 anniversary edition online at DisneyShopping.com.
Sorry, I'm prolly the only one excited about this! I'll stop posting MY ramblings on YOUR blog Kendra! Sorry! :-)
yea Megan, don't you have your OWN blog!? I just thought the correct phrase would be "whomever had that idea"...I by no means am the grammar queen but I am excited about School House Rock...Tammy was just singing some of those the other night! "I'm just a bill...on capital hill"!!!! And Kendra you better be used to MY ramblings by now!!!;) I love you ladies!
You gals are so funny:)
Hi Kendra--so glad to see you have a blog! I would love to read your "rambling thoughts."
Love,
Cassie
