The Lord's Light Within
Lord we reflect with thankful hearts
On the wonder of your birth
The love you expressed when you left
Your glory to come to earth
For your life was like a beacon, Lord
Shining brightly in the night
Filling the world with the radiance of
The Father's glorious light
And we, too, long to have inside
Your light for others to see
The beautiful reflection of your grace
And the wonder of your majesty
For as your life indwells our hearts
We can shine wherever we are
And arise to take hold of each new day
With your light ablaze in our hearts
So rekindle the flame within us Lord
So it will not flicker nor dim
Ignite us with the light of your love
So you will shine brightly within

Christmas Day
Christmas Day... Early morning with the Delgados... as always reading the Christmas story and lighting the advent candles. Then opening presents...This year we drew names and it was nice and we were able to enjoy singing together as we did last year.

Then I headed over to the Blackman's to open presents and spend time with them. Sweet Pea said "My Aunt Kendra always brings 2 presents for everyone because she loves to give gifts like me" (I actually try to give a piece of clothing and something fun. Fulfill a need as well as a desire so never just socks but sometimes socks and underwear are included with something fun.) It is very sweet to me that as she is growing up she is noticing things. She tends to notice things about people and pays attention to the litte details. I love watching that in her. I really enjoyed the time with everyone and then we headed up to P-Cola to visit with Ryan's family. I started feeling bad during the afternoon so I slept on Nana's couch while Sweet Pea & Bubbaroo watched Meet the Robinson. (Cory gave this to Bubbaroo for Christmas and when he opened it he yelled "Meet the Harrelsons" which is Cory's last name too cute.) Everyone played games first they played a Yatzee game and then after I got up it was a room with double games of uno. Gator Uno on one table and Uno Flash on another.
I wasn't feeling well the rest of the day so I ended up going to the Dr. on Friday and I am so glad I did. Antibiotics are a great thing and I am so glad God has given us the gift of Doctors and Medicine. I am still on the mend but I am hoping this is my day to feel great again!!! Which is also why there are so many blogs today... I am trying to rest so I figure working on Pictures is a good place to start. Enjoy below and more to come~

MERRY CHRISTMAS
I have heard this song a few times this season and it has helped to focus me on the true meaning of Christmas. Such an amazing blessing that Christ came to earth to die for me. Praise be to our Lord and Savior. Listen to the words and may God use it to focus your heart this holiday.

Self Portrait
An Atlanta Tradition, it is a small ride for kids and there is PLENTY of pink involved. My sister in law visited it when she was a child as did her dad when he was growing up. It is only up at Christmas time and is located outside of the Lenox Mall. It was pretty cold but fun. Rosie Girl danced around and enjoyed the pink carpet. I love the little tutu she was wearing too cute :)
Horne Annual Christmas Party
I spent the past weekend up in Atlanta with my brother Hank and his wife Patsy and their daughter "Rosie Girl" It was nice to just hang out with them and to enjoy Patsy's parents annual Christmas open house. We had a blast and laughed and reminiced. Here are a few pics from the Party :)

It is Officially Christmas time!!!

I am so excited b/c when I came home today on the stairs is one of my favorite things about Christmas my annual box from my Grandma!! She is an amazing lady who every year makes a box of homemade goodies for all the members of our famiy complete with chocolate and peanut butter fudge, peanut clusters, cookies, and banana & pumkin bread!!! :) I love the box because it just feels like Christmas to me!
I had to include a picture but this was one of the only ones I could find on my computer this is 4th of July a couple of years ago w/Grandma Aunt Nancy, Uncle David, Me Little Kendra & my Bro in Law Junior. (there were many more people in the picture but no one else was looking at the camera!!! ;) Photos of large groups ah well!

Christmas Morning Part 1
Since us girls (Jessi Evie & I) stayed up way too late with Jess being the 1st to crash and Ev being the last, Christmas morning came a little too early with Josh Hector & Jon being loud starting a little after 6. I got up a little after seven and went in to take pictures of them all still in bed. Around eight they finally got permission to start waking people up so Jon put on a Christmas CD and blasted it as loud as it would go! The boys then (using the wrapping paper rolls I had finished the night before) proceeded to knock on the bedroom doors and wake all the sleeping ladies up. Starting with the Exchange Students and ending with Jessi & Evie. Jess as usual was not so excited to be woken up but she took it like a champ with no yelling (even though the boys were quite loud!) and very little complaining besides asking if she could get back in bed till the Earlys came. The Earlys ended up coming later after doing Christmas at home first so we sang Christmas songs that proclaimed the birth of Christ and then started with the Advent and Reading of the Christmas story. Followed by singing O Come all Ye Faithful. What a blessing to begin the day worshiping together! We then exchanged presents and rounds of hugs. The tradition at the Delgado home is every gift is delivered with a hug. So by the time you are done with all 15 of us... you have had at LEAST 30 hugs!!!
Well here are the pics... I will continue my trek through Christmas with the next post. I hope everyone is enjoying my ramblings!

Dinner with the Delgados
As is tradition we had our Christmas meal on Christmas Eve this year... we had a lot of fun as you can see from the pictures. The Blackmans joined us, the food was great, the company even better. The Korean exchange students taught us a few clapping games one a friend test kept us entertained for awhile and then a game called Zero had a funny start. We ended with a new version of paper rock scissors that ended with me doing the splits. It was a ton of fun. Being together was so important and so nice. Thank you God for your great blessing of these people in my life!
Christmas Eve Morning
Before leaving GA for home I had breakfast with some of my family. My Aunt Nancy made one of my favorites, biscuits and sausage gravy. It was nice to sit around the table and be together. I then took some pictures of the kiddos and then eventually went outside to watch Sport & Beauty Queen ride bikes.... it seems Sport had decided he is big enough (he just had his sixth birthday on the 22ND) to ride his bike without training wheels. His older sister in her years of wisdom (she is seven) told him he must be trained so he came into the house to get Papa, and as good papas do he went out and trained him the same way he did her. I came outside when Papa went in to snap some pictures and ended up holding onto the back of the bike a few times before he got it... He was so excited!! Oh so fun!
